About Us

Marilyn

Marilyn is originally from Danville, Illinois. A University of Illinois graduate she worked in Boston as an accountant for a short time and eventually went to work for Delta Airlines as a flight attendant based in New Orleans. On a trip to Fort Lauderdale, FL she happened to meet Frank and after 10 days of dating they decided to marry. It was the best decision she ever made and they are still married to this day.

They cofounded D'Amore Interiors in 1980. The company started at an outdoor flea market in Fort Lauderdale and after a year they opened their first location. Marilyn began doing small design projects involving handpainted bedding and artwork. Eventually she expanded into home furnishings. She also began designing adobe wall units which were very sought after for many years. Their showroom became known for it's uniqueness and one of a kind products.

Frank and Marilyn, with their daughter Gina, moved to Colorado in 1997 and opened a showroom in Wheat Ridge, CO. For years she has been the primary merchandiser for the showroom and appreciates the help she get these days from our talented sales staff. She has won multiple design awards including a very coveted Crystal Award. Marilyn has worked with many wonderful clients over the years in Colorado, Florida, Arizona, North Dakota and Aruba and to this day continues to be busy with projects. She approaches every project with the client in mind first and reminds them that this should be the fun part!

She is an avid horse person and rides her Tennessee Walking Horse as often as possible.

Frank

Frank is originally from Boston, MA. He moved to Fort Lauderdale FL in 1978 and met his wife Marilyn in 1980. After 10 days of dating they decided to marry and cofounded D’Amore Interiors shortly after. After 43 years they are still partners in business and in life. The company started at an outdoor flea market and after a year they opened their first small showroom. Over the next few years they expanded their showroom and their product lines. Frank ran the day to day operations and became a great salesman for the business. He also had a talent for finding resources across the country for quality furniture lines. He developed long lasting relationships with his vendors.

His biggest claim to fame is that he struck out 19 batters in 6 innings in a high school baseball game!

He still enjoys being in the showroom occasionally and working with customers. His number one joy though is his 8 year old grandson Knox. They are fishing buddies and love to play all kinds of sports.

Gina

Joining the D'Amore Interiors team 20 years ago, as a teen, Gina fell in love with interior design and has been a force to reckon with. Being raised in a family business in the home furnishings industry first in Ft. Lauderdale and now in Denver, she has been surrounded by all things design her entire life, and her passion has always been interior design. An alumna of Johnson & Wales University with business degrees in marketing & advertising, Gina pursued graduate studies at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Interior Design.

Gina has advanced the firm's legacy by expanding its interior design services with projects throughout the nation. With an expansive portfolio that encompasses dramatic, colorful and daringly layered homes to expansive vacation residences, Gina approaches each project as a whole and prioritizes the details to ensure outcomes that are as unique as the clients that she designs for. Her projects have been published numerous times in both regional and national publications. Honored with over 70 interior design awards, including 20 national awards from the NKBA, NAHB, KBDN, IDS, and an international award from London based "design et al" magazine. She is an active member of multiple design organizations including, NKBA, ASID, ARTS, and is the 2023-2024 President of the IDS Denver Chapter. Her accolades also include being named "Top Five Under Forty" in 2020 by Colorado Homes & Lifestyles Magazine, "Forty Under 40" by Home Furnishings Business Magazine, and "Best Overall Bath" at the NKBA National Design Competition at KBIS 2022.

Eric

Eric was born and raised in rural Ohio where he grew up working in his father’s lumber yard and later helped him with flipping and remodeling homes. He moved to Denver in 2011, met Gina soon after, and joined the D’Amore team months later. With his degree in marketing, and his background in woodworking and remodeling, he was an instant asset the team. Eric still does all of the marketing and oversees day to day operations, but has added his own line of tables to the mix that are sold exclusively at D'Amore Interiors, and can be found here Willard Woodworking. Eric has some unhealthy obsessions: The Ohio State Buckeyes, any movie featuring Will Ferrell, and of course his wife, just to name a few. He loves coaching his son’s sports teams, and it’s been said that he’s rather good at it, since he’s a big child himself. Eric loves his role at D’Amore and is excited to keep evolving the business in the future.
