When I walked into D'Amore Interiors in 2012, exhausted from what was a nearly three year construction endeavor, I expected to look only for a sofa. It was at that point that Marilyn & Gina walked out, offered to look at the house blueprints, and to provide some ideas. I left them with a roll of papers, scooped up my little Maltese, and went on my way, expecting to return the following week to see a couple of pieces of furniture that I might (or might not) be able to use somewhere. I was dubious that a designer would figure out what I would like.  By the time I returned to her store the following Saturday, they had options for every piece of furniture for the entire house laid out in a beautifully organized way.   And, they nailed it.   It took me about three hours to furnish the whole  house.    The look was young but sophisticated, fresh but not trendy, contemporary but not cold.   They did a beautiful job at choosing unique, organic, and timeless pieces.

About a year later I decided it was time to re-furnish and decorate my office downtown.   Gina came to our building, took measurements, and led me to the right choices yet again.   We furnished the office in a retro-modern look, around a contemporary rendering of the Spanish Hills painted by Tracy Felix.   It is very different from our home in Golden, showing Gina's range and her ability to adjust to the location.

I am now embarking on my third endeavor with D’Amore Interiors, a house on the shores of Shadow Mountain Lake. Marilyn & Gina have provided the interior design for the whole house yet again.   I trusted them with every decision.   They have come up with a fabulously mountain modern motif, playing off of the lake and the mountain range in the background -- while staying away from the traditional dark heavy pieces and antler fixtures.   The pieces they selected are made out of timeless woods and materials.   We have a beautiful walnut table being custom made in Spain, with gorgeous leather benches and playful chairs on the ends.    The great room will be filled with comfortable down sofa pieces and swivel chairs from Rene Cazares, and the theatre room will be furnished with a massive leather couch from gamma.   Of course, the fabrics and designs they selected are, once again, interesting yet timeless.
